James is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and has held a number of senior finance roles in FTSE multinationals. He is an Executive Director of The John Maxwell Team, certified to facilitate, speak, train and coach individuals and groups in the areas of leadership development, professional skills and personal growth
James is also involved in a number of charitable projects and is particularly passionate about youth and community development projects.
Huw has over 25 years’ experience working in Africa. He was a professional safari guide for many years, and subsequently worked on social development projects for rural communities including a countrywide eLearning programme and a large donor funded agricultural development programme. Huw has also consulted for the United Nations, the World Bank and worked for UK local government.
Huw is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and holds an MSc in Environment and International Development from the University of East Anglia.
Dr Isabelle Widmer (MD) brings experience gained in a range of environments in the US, UK, France, Israel and Switzerland, having worked as a clinician in government research, pharmaceutical marketing, pharmaceutical medical affairs, providing scientific information on medicines to doctors and patients across all channels and consulting on transformation programmes for multi-national healthcare companies.
David has been a hands on business angel in a number of small company start-ups, alongside working as an Executive Director for a major UK media company and several of its subsidiaries.
David studied at the University of Cambridge (BA Economics) and Harvard University (MBA summa cum laude).
Naggib is a certified executive coach, international speaker and leadership trainer. A seasoned finance and corporate strategy professional, Naggib spent the last 20 years consulting with, or as part of the management team of various multinational corporations in the UK, USA, Central Asia, Japan and Africa. Naggib trained as a Certified Accountant in the UK, and holds an MBA from Surrey Business School.
Kathy is a scientist with a background in reproductive health and HIV, who has worked in both the non-profit sector and the Federal government in the US, and more recently, as a teacher in the UK. She has been involved for many years with a number of educational and health-related charities, either as a Trustee, fundraiser or advisor. She holds an MSc in Genetics from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Daniel is a GP who graduated from Kings College London in 2012. He also works in event and expedition medicine, and provides cover at endurance sporting events. He is the author of blogs and podcasts featured on www.thewildernessmedic.com. Outside of medicine he enjoys writing, music and walking his dog.
Sophie is currently studying human resources management level 3 under the Charted institute of personnel and development (CIPD). She has a background in the hospitality industry, with focus on small events management and front of house supervision. she is keen to use her experience of working within a team environment with new colleges and stakeholders.
David is a seasoned finance professional and brings commercial and financial experience to the board. He studied economics at Sheffield University and qualified as a chartered accountant. He worked in London and the Caribbean for Price Waterhouse and then enjoyed senior roles in multinational IT, publishing, and retail businesses.
